What Birlik is

Birlik is a community platform for Azerbaijanis around the world. It lets members post and browse jobs, marketplace listings, businesses, funding asks, and general asks/offers, and discuss them in comments. Birlik is run as a community project, not a recruitment agency, marketplace operator, financial institution, or employer.

By creating an account or using Birlik, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Acceptable use

To keep Birlik useful and safe for the community, you agree not to post or send:

• Scams, or anything intended to defraud or mislead other members.
• Illegal or stolen goods, or listings for anything unlawful to sell or trade.
• Fraudulent or misleading job offers or investment opportunities, including asking for money or personal financial details as a condition of a "job" or "investment."
• Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory content — including in job posts (for example, discriminating by nationality, religion, gender, age, or disability where not legally justified).
• Spam, repeated duplicate posts, or unsolicited bulk messaging.

Use good judgement beyond this list: content that's abusive, deceptive, or clearly harmful to other members isn't welcome here even if it isn't listed above.

Consequences

Members can report posts and comments they believe break these rules. We review reports and, where a post or comment violates this policy, we may remove it. We may also suspend or permanently ban an account — including blocking it from creating new posts or comments — for repeated or serious violations. We aim to be fair, but these decisions are made at our discretion.

Liability disclaimer

Birlik is a platform that connects members with each other — we are not a party to any transaction, job offer, sale, service, or investment arranged between users. We don't vet, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of any listing, the identity of any user, or the legitimacy, safety, quality, or outcome of anything posted or agreed on through the site.

When you interact with another member — buying, selling, applying for a job, investing, or anything else — you do so entirely at your own risk. Use common sense: meet in safe public places, don't send money to people you don't know or trust, and verify anything that sounds too good to be true. Birlik is not liable for any loss, damage, dispute, or harm arising from interactions between members or from content posted on the site.

Your account

You're responsible for what you post and for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and may not impersonate someone else or create an account for someone under 16.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Birlik grows. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Birlik after a change means you accept the updated terms.
